The Journey Home

In The Journey Home, distance is measured less in space than in states of being. The composition holds departure and arrival within the same suspended moment, as though the path forward also leads inward. A monumental presence anchors this uncertainty, carrying the stillness of someone who has travelled beyond the limits of ordinary geography and now stands before a threshold that cannot be crossed by movement alone.

Light gathers around passages and horizons without revealing what waits beyond them. It offers direction, but not certainty. The ascending forms suggest progression, yet their destination remains elusive, while the surrounding vastness collapses distinctions between memory, landscape, and consciousness. What appears external may equally belong to an interior realm shaped by longing and remembrance.

The title, The Journey Home, introduces a destination whose meaning becomes increasingly unstable. Home may be a place once known, a state recovered, an origin remembered only imperfectly—or something never previously encountered.

Perhaps the deepest journey begins when return is no longer possible in any literal sense. What, then, does it mean to arrive home: to reach where we began, or finally to recognize where we belong?
