The Eclipse of Becoming inhabits the uncertain interval between one state of existence and another. A monumental presence rises from darkness while a distant figure approaches through an almost weightless expanse, establishing a tension between the intimate scale of human passage and forces that seem immeasurably larger. Neither appears fully anchored to the world around them.

Light gathers at the edge of obscurity rather than overcoming it. This partial illumination gives the work its psychological charge: revelation remains incomplete, and what is concealed becomes as significant as what is revealed. The atmosphere suggests that transformation may require precisely such an interval, when familiar structures have begun to disappear but whatever follows has not yet acquired form.

The title makes becoming inseparable from eclipse. Change is not presented as continuous ascent, but as interruption—a temporary loss of clarity through which another understanding might emerge. The monumental and the solitary may represent separate presences, or different dimensions of the same consciousness held across an impossible distance.

Nothing confirms whether the darkness is passing or still approaching. Perhaps becoming begins in that uncertainty, when the former self can no longer be recovered and the next remains hidden from view.
