A profound stillness holds these works at the edge of rupture. In Beyond the Divine, the human presence confronts immensities that seem at once external and deeply interior, as though consciousness itself had acquired monumental scale. Light appears not as reassurance, but as an event—something capable of revealing, consuming, or transforming whatever enters its field.

The tension lies in this uncertain encounter. Fragility persists against forms that suggest permanence, yet those forms themselves appear vulnerable to fracture and dissolution. The distinction between body and cosmos, self and surrounding space, begins to loosen. Moments of radiance carry both promise and danger: illumination may offer access to what lies beyond ordinary perception, but such access seems inseparable from the possibility of losing the boundaries that define the self.

The title leaves the nature of the divine deliberately unsettled. Perhaps the threshold is spiritual; perhaps it concerns the limits of human thought, identity, or language. To move “beyond” may imply transcendence, but equally an absence for which no familiar name remains.

What waits on the other side of that boundary—and what, if anything, could cross it without becoming something else?
