Light concentrates around the smaller figure, giving vulnerability an unexpected gravity. Beyond her, the colossal presence remains closed and unreadable, its fractured surface suggesting that permanence itself may be incomplete. The surrounding forms deepen this atmosphere of suspended judgment or witness, while darkness absorbs whatever certainty the scene might otherwise provide.
