At the Edge of the Uncreated World

At the Edge of the Uncreated World holds its solitary presence at the threshold of something that has not yet assumed a name. Vastness dominates, but it is not empty. The surrounding silence feels charged with potential, as though space itself were waiting for an event that may never arrive. Against this immensity, human scale becomes fragile without becoming insignificant.

The composition is suspended between gravity and dissolution. A dark, ascending mass appears to resist the luminous expanse beyond it, while fragments seem to loosen from its boundaries and disappear toward the light. This tension gives the work its peculiar stillness: nothing is visibly moving, yet everything appears caught in the instant before irreversible change.

The title shifts the landscape into a more uncertain territory. The “uncreated” may suggest what exists before form, before decision, perhaps even before consciousness has separated possibility from reality. Light becomes less a destination than an unknowable presence at the limits of perception.

What remains most unsettling is the figure’s position before that limit. Is this the final edge of a known world, or the first place from which another can begin? The work leaves that distinction unresolved, suspended in the silence between existence and possibility.
